In my jurisdiction, it is code forbidden to use Cellular Core PVC pipe because of all the plumbing problems it causes. So, if you want a really strong pipe to securely protect your expensive copper pipe and EMT, then you should use the stronger SOLID CORE PVC pipe.I did not use screws to hold on the caps, I used stainless steel bolts and nylon insert lock nuts. This conduit carrier is a better design than I have seen before with nice end caps and pipe saddles. So it is well worth your money. The opening end cap adds a tiny bit of inside length so you can barely get away with using a 10 foot pipe.There is a padlock option on the opening end cap, but I just use a padlock for more secure transport on the highway. Unfortunately I live in the state that has the shameful notoriety of the highest motor vehicle accident fatalities caused by stuff flying off of trucks. Of course, the “accident” is not an “accident” but a fatality caused by negligence. I am not going to contribute to that shameful statistic because I am always going to properly secure my load.The padlock attachment point is anti-theft wishful thinking. Thieves simply use cordless grinders to quickly cut the padlock shackle. When you are old and about to retire you can choose your jobs working only in the nicer neighborhoods where everybody has a security system with Security Cameras everywhere to help identify the hit and split drive by thieves.
